Cody has a new girlfriend I think. He met her at the McDonald's where he works and they seem quite buddy buddy though he claims they are only friends. Yeah right. I wonder too if they are having sex. I asked him and he said "Mom, I'm 17!" like duh mom, all 17 year olds are having sex. Ugh. I may just be paranoid but I know he has spent time alone with her and she is a few years older than he is so I wouldn't be surprised. We have had enough talks about the birds and the bees, I hope he is smart enough to wear a condom.

We had our first Physical therapy session this morning. She only stayed for about an hour since B seemed to be a bit irritated towards the end of it. I asked her for some suggestions for Christmas gifts based upon where Brooklyn is developmentally and I was so, I don't even know what the word is, shocked I guess that she recommended we get her an activity mat!! I realize she is behind, but an activity mat? Geesh. She said it would help her to start reaching out for toys. I was thinking more along the lines of a musical table or a walker but I guess that is something she's not going to be ready for for awhile. Maybe I'm still in denial, it's so hard to hear things like her saying today she was at a 4-5 month level. That just breaks my heart! Anyways, we have a few different exercises that she asked us to do with her each day. Mainly we are working on sitting up and using her hands to balance herself while sitting up. The Occupational therapist will be here tomorrow and I'm interested to see what she will be doing with her.

Hey sweetie, we're keeping you and Miss B in our thoughts. Just wanted to let you know we're here if you ever need anything. Hugs.

The dots must go.....

I still think you should leave a post-it note on Codys door everyday for him to see before he goes to meet his "friend".

B will catch up and being using that walker and table at some point, the fact that she can and will catch is what to focus on.
Love you!

((hugs)) about both. You should buy Cody some condoms to make sure and I'm sorry that they think B needs something so "baby-ish".

LOL at Heathers comment about the dots...I still see them!! I am sorry that the PT was so icky in her response about gifts, I wouldnt get her an activity mat, you can put toys out of her reach with out paying big bucks for them. I like the idea of a musical table!! Just wanting to give you some hugs and to tell you that you are still in my prayers!!!

You know, if you get B a Leap Frog table, you can take the legs off and it will be a cool musical toy that she will want to reach out for. Later, you can put the legs on and she can use it to help her stand.

I'm glad they got her right into therapy. And I'm SO glad you changed pediatricians. A good ped makes all the difference.

I hope B responds amazingly well to her therapies. You wonder how a speech therapist might help a baby so young, and yet, it will help. You will be amazed. Maybe not in a week or a month, but later, you will look back and know it was all so important.

I think of you daily.

It's so good to have a doctor that is actively looking out for you child. It's funny, I wonder how they "know" that the only thing appropriate for her is an activity mat.I can see the table being something much more interactive for her and something she would enjoy a lot more. You did a good job on her haircut BTW lol!
